Why: To support the Indiana Wildlife Federation, a local nonprofit organization committed to continuing Teddy Roosevelt's vision of wisely using our country's natural resources, for use but not abuse. IWF promotes hunting, fishing, and other outdoor activities allowing Hoosiers to enjoy and benefit from nature, while enhancing habitat and using wildlife management techniques that will maintain a healthy and sustainable environment.

If you're feeling extra generous, you may also want to check out the VIP pre-concert cocktail hour and silent auction beginning at 5:30. Meet popular local musician Jennie DeVoe and get the first chance to bid on auction items from a variety of donors. VIP tickets are $75 and include the concert, VIP parking and entry to the "Meet and Greet" reception (purchase separately on the IWF web site).

In less than two decades of existence, Carmel Clay Parks & Recreation has become the nature and wildlife model for the state of Indiana. In 2009, CCPR and IWF teamed up and began the process to become the state's first certified "Wildlife Friendly Park System" through a variety of park enhancements. This process began with the certification of Central Park and this year CCPR is looking forward to its continued progress with its certification of West Park. The certification ceremony will be held on July 9, prior to the Devotion to Wildlife concert.
